Huge congrats to Nicky for receiving October’s Virtual Assistant (VA) in the Spotlight!
Nominated for her great work ethic and drive to take initiative, Nicky has earned the title of October’s Virtual Assistant in the Spotlight. She always completes her assignments in a timely manner, and can always be counted on to have a positive attitude. Her hard work and drive to make every client feel like they are the most important, makes her very deserving of October’s VA in the Spotlight.
Nicky has been a virtual assistant (VA) for 5 years; 4 of which were spent here with Pam’s VAS. When the market crashed in 2008, Nicky found herself in search of something new to pursue, “I needed to find something new to do; I needed to reinvent myself. My love for real estate and the opportunity to be in control of my income is what lead me to becoming a VA.”
Nicky was introduced to Pam by one of her friends who happened to work as a VA with Pam. Jumping on the opportunity, Nicky joined her friend. When asked what Nicky does on a day-to-day basis she responded, “I am a transaction coordinator. I primarily work with Fannie Mae transactions, but also work others when needed. Basically, I maintain real estate transactions from acceptance to closing. This involves communicating with brokers, agents, asset managers and others involved in the transaction. I also handle submission of offers etc.” Nicky’s personal motto that she lives by is “Work for a cause, not for applause.” Given her extensive daily tasks and her ability to carry out those tasks efficiently, one can see that Nicky has truly implemented her motto.
Curious as to how such a busy VA spends her downtime, we had to ask, “I’m very family oriented so, when I am not working I spend as much time with my family as possible. I also enjoy travelling. Then of course . . how could I forget my love of shopping!”
We moved on to ask if Nicky enjoys working as a VA and she responded, “Yes, I love real estate and I love the flexibility being a VA allows. It has its moments like any job; however, Pam makes it all worth it.” When asked if she had any advice for those interested in becoming a VA, Nicky responded, “It’s a great opportunity to work from home and have flexible hours. There’s never a dull moment and no two deals will be the same. Organization and time management is key!”
As always, we had to ask if there was anything Nicky would change here at Pam’s VAS; and to no surprise she replied, “Nope! :)” Once again, congratulations on being Pam’s VAS VA in the Spotlight for October! There is no doubt you will be doing big things in the future and we can’t wait to see what your talents and success bring!
